Anti Virus McAfee 2012 fails to impress
Although the product suffered in the performance, I definitely liked the interface Total Protection 2012.

(Credit: Screenshot by Seth Rosenblatt / CNET) For a high-end suite, McAfee Total Protection 2012 (download) is not a bad program. It's just not a particularly good program, and loses much be several miles.
We liked its interface, then with only slight adjustments to its 2010 revision. The feature set is generally competitive, too, although this update only really gets in line with the mid-range competitors. Not really push the envelope which is a set of high level can do for their clients.

Its biggest problems are in their performance, and for a security suite that can be the kiss of death. This type of program has hooks deep into the Windows out of necessity. When competitors fight tooth and nail to faster scans and the least possible impact on the start and stop times, McAfee errors ahead. Worse, received terrible grades in the past year from three independent laboratories in their ability to stay safe.
