Verizon Wireless Set to Launch 4G Network Tomorrow
Verizon Wireless has confirmed that it will hold a press conference on December 1 the details of the release of their next generation 4G service. It is unclear if Verizon really the light of evolution 4G LTE (Long Term) tomorrow's network, but has ads (like the one below) during last week saying that LTE is in December.
Last October, Verizon announced its 4G network is experienced in late 2010. Moreover, Verizon has said it will launch in 38 cities, making it the largest network of 4G in the U.S.
LTE is important for several reasons, but mainly because it has the potential to become the first global standard in solutions for real. By contrast, Sprint has adopted as its 4G WiMAX standard, which is especially prevalent in parts of Asia. In any case, both technologies are exceptionally fast compared to the current standards of mobile broadband - and let's face it, that's really the most important factor.
